We built this system in-house to edit Thought Mining, our recurring multicamera talk show. We turn each shoot into a finished episode and five social cuts held to one standard, and a producer approves the creative calls.
A long-form episode asks hundreds of small decisions of its editor: which camera holds the shot, where to cut a sentence, what music sits under a story, how loud the finished file plays.
If those decisions live in one editor's head, you start each episode from zero. Quality swings with the week, and you relearn lessons the last episode already taught you.
We mapped the show's post-production from camera card to upload and built the repeatable parts into software, templates, and written standards, with AI-assisted analysis and automated checks along the way.
Each episode runs the same path. When we fix something on episode two, episode three gets the fix.
We built it so the editor spends attention on story, performance, rhythm, and taste, and lets the system carry the rest.
The software does the repeatable work. A producer decides anything that shapes how the episode feels.
Before an episode goes out, we test it against the same five standards.

Grain & Thunder produces podcasts and video series for organizations. We plan the cameras and sound, shoot the episodes, cut the long form and the social clips, and deliver on a schedule you can plan around.
If your team wants to run its own show, we consult on the setup: the gear, the workflow, and the standards each episode should meet.
